Jonathan Clauss returns to Marseille training, Chancel Mbemba and Amine Harit absent

Jonathan Clauss has returned to first-team training for Olympique de Marseille, ahead of their match against OGC Nice on Wednesday, however, Amine Harit, Chancel Mbemba and Ismaïla Sarr were all absent from Tuesday’s session at La Commanderie.

Clauss hasn’t featured since the international break after suffering an adductor injury whilst on duty with the France national team, however, he has returned to training and is pushing for a place in the matchday squad. However, it isn’t thought that the former RC Lens full-back will start against Nice.

Chancel Mbemba has been struggling with a knee injury for several weeks. Whilst he has at times played through the pain, he has also missed matches. According to La Provence journalist Fabrice Lamperti, Mbemba, as well as Harit were both absent from training, just one day before Marseille host Nice at the Vélodrome. Sarr, also a doubt for the match, did work in the gym.
